Working bees occur throughout the year and are listed as they occur below. If you are interested in volunteering for any work on the streams, but can’t make the working bee dates, please get in touch and we’ll get you sorted for tasks in your own time.

Whangamata Stream Trail Unofficial Working Bee
Date:
Monday 9th September – rain or shine, cold or hot!
Time:
9am start. Volunteer what time you can.
Where:
Lisland Bridge car park.
Signage will be out on the day of the precise location.
The purpose of this Working Bee:
We have generously been donated native plants from Misty Acres at Tihoi. They need to get in the ground now that the weather is warming up and we don't want to lose them.
We welcome any of you who have time to join us and appreciate whatever free time you may have to help plant these donated native plants.
What to bring:
Wheelbarrow, spade, gloves, water bottle, sharp knife for cutting roots, and wet weather gear in case it rains.
