My connection to Kinloch

Rachel and live in Te Kowhai Ridge with our teenage sons. We have lived in Kinloch for 10 years but visited for 20 years as my parents have been living here for 20 years. My brother and family also live in Kinloch and have primary-aged children.

Background.

I am a Chartered Accountant and an owner at BFA Limited in Taupo employing some 40 local people. Prior to BFA I was the CEO for the district’s largest land owner and rate payer, Wairarapa Moana Incorporation (large Māori owned Agri business in Mangakino).

I personally help a number of community organisations and am always willing to offer advice to help.

Key Issues

The biggest challenge I see for Kinloch is managing its growth in a sustainable manner that will support infrastructure while ensuring we are a connected community working collectively to maintain what we have here at the edge of Lake Taupo.
