Trout Fishing
Kinloch village is positioned on the edge of Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s premier fresh water fishing destination. Beautiful native bush surrounds Whangamata bay on either side providing some of the best fishing in the lake. www.nzfishing.com
The village has two launching opportunities, from which boats can cruise Whangamata Bay, Kawakawa Bay to the West or Whakaipo Bay to the East.
Some of the best shoreline fishing is around the Whangamata Stream mouth where fish congregate during warmer months and to which they migrate during the winter spawning months.
